PHILADELPHIA (AP) – An autopsy was conducted Sunday on the Boston College rower who died after collapsing at the Dad Vail Regatta.

Jeff Moran, a spokesman for the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office, said there would be no announcement Sunday of the results of the autopsy on Scott Laio, who collapsed Saturday after his crew won the men’s lightweight eight.

A spokesman for Boston College said Saturday that the junior from Pittsford, N.Y., apparently suffered a heart attack.

Teammate Ned Borgman performed CPR on Laio in the boat until emergency medical technicians arrived and treated him with a defibrillator. Laio’s parents accompanied him to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he died.
