FARMINGTON – Maude L. Millbury, 84, a 50-year resident of Avon, died late Sunday afternoon, May 15, at the Sandy River Nursing Care Center, in Farmington.

She was born July 25, 1920, in Littleton, N.H., a daughter of Harris and Maude E. (Woodward) Drown. She attended Starks, New Sharon and Canton schools.

She was married to Clarence Tyler of Starks, and later remarried to Raymond Millbury of Rangeley. She then lived with her longtime companion and friend, Ernest Pinkham, in Avon, for more than 50 years. For the past 18 years, her companion was William Bell of Wilton.

She worked in the Strong area opening and closing summer cottages. She was an Avon representative and she also worked at Norridgewock Shoe.

She was truly devoted to her family. Her favorite pastimes were sewing, crafts, dancing, traveling and playing cards, which she did nearly everyday.

She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Taylor and Edith Pettengill; two brothers, John M. Enman Jr., and Randall W. Enman; and several loving nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers, Harold W. Enman and Franklin Deacon; and a sister, Geraldine Brann.
