FARMINGTON – Public memorial services for Mr. Roberts were held Saturday afternoon, May 14, at Old South Congregation Church, with the Rev. Catherine R. Wallace officiating. The prelude and postlude were favorite Welsh hymns. Organist was Patricia Hayden. The congregation sang “In The Garden” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” The Old South Choir, joined by his family, sang “Cwm Rhondda.” The Scripture reading was Corinthians 1:13. His daughter Meredith Roberts recited Psalm 23 in Welsh. Daughters, Megan and Janet Roberts offered a personal eulogy. Following services, all were invited to greet the family at a reception in the Holman House, hosted by the Old South Hospitality Committee. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center, Farmington.
