DIXFIELD – Robert “Bob” Priest, 67, of 5 Collins Way, Dixfield, died Saturday afternoon, May 14, at his home.

He was born in Rumford, July 6, 1937, a son of Arthur and Marguerite Bragdon Priest. He received his education in Rumford schools and graduated from Stephens High School in 1957.

He worked as a truck driver for many years, retiring from Werner Enterprises in 2001. On Dec. 31, 1963, he married Mary Stanfield in High Point, N.C. She died March 19, 2001.

He is survived by his companion, Jessie Harding, of Ohio; a brother, Malcolm Priest and his wife, Barbara, of Gulf Port, Miss.; three sisters, Charlene Swan of Dixfield, Anita Jeselskis of Buckfield, and Gloria Tyler and her husband, Karl, of Newburgh; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, Arthur W. and William A.; and a sister, Betty Boucher.
