AUBURN – The Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is planning a Track and Field Program for youngsters ages 7-14.

Program dates are June 13 through August 12. Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7:15 p.m. at the ELHS track. Maine USA Track & Field meets are scheduled Thursdays beginning in late June. Tom Menendez will again guide the program.

Registration is now taking place at the Auburn Recreation Department at Hasty Community Center and will continue through June 10. Cost is $30 for residents and $40 for non-residents.

Car wash planned

LEWISTON – The Lewiston High School girls softball team will conduct a car wash on Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be two locations, the Irving Station on Main Street and the Getty Mart on Lisbon Street. Proceeds will go towards team equipment and other needs.
