TEQUESTA, Fla. – Alex “Big Al” Novicki, 85, a longtime resident of Lewiston-Auburn, died May 22, after a short illness.

He retired as sales manager at Louis Chevrolet in 1980. He was an avid golfer and a member of Martindale Country Club during the ’60s and ’70s. He was a great artist and sign painter.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Eileen Novicki, of Tequesta, Fla.; two sons, John Novicki and his wife, Pamela, of Palm Coast, Fla., and Michael Novicki and his wife, Lisa, of Minot; four grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Jack and Allie; one great-grandchild, Jaydon; and one brother, Chester N. Novicki of Merideth, N.H.
