LEWISTON – Hannaford picked up 2 victories in recent action in the Major Division. Winning pitcher Alex Chicoine drove in the go-ahead run in the 6th inning and hurled 3 shutout innings as the Grocers edged Healey Associates 4-3. Matt Bowen, Elliot Chicoine and Ben Chicoine all whacked a double. Therriault belted 2 hits for Healey and Connor Anthoine pitched well. . . Hannaford also nipped D.A. Poussard Construction 6-5 as Bowen earned the mound win, allowing no hits in 3-innings of relief. Cody Dussault and Jacob Lajoie had key RBI hits. Chris Madden and Colt Steele were the top sticks for Poussard.

In the Minor Divison, Wendy’s squeezed out a 3-2 victory over Chick-A-Dee as Alex Small and Bernier combined for 13 strikeouts. Dixon Dilodovico had a game-winning 2-run single. Spencer Simoneau and Derek Montminy also had key hits. Connor Perron and Alex Grenier led the Chick-A-Dee offense. . . A Storybook Affair edged United 3-2 as Nick Boom gained the mound win. Chad Hinkley, Jason Goulet and John Goulet led the offense. Jordan Ferrell and Brandon Smith had hits for United. . . Roux Insurance trimmed Emerson 14-6 as Nick Belanger cracked 4 hits and Parker Asselin added 3, including a homer. Tom Hird collected 3 hits for Emerson, 1 a round-tripper. Alex Nazaroff was the winning hurler.
