LEWISTON – A procession honoring the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ will be held Sunday, May 29, beginning at St. Joseph’s Church at 12:15 p.m.

The celebration will begin at St. Joseph’s Church with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m., followed by an opening prayer. A solemn procession will then travel down Bates Street to Kennedy Park for a community blessing, then proceed up Walnut Street to Bartlett Street to the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul for a benediction.

Those who are unable to participate in the procession may join together for the recitation of the rosary at Saints Peter and Paul at 2 p.m. prior to the benediction.

Refreshments will be served following the benediction. The public is welcome to participate.
