NORWAY – Jessie G. Haines, 83, of Norway, died Monday, May 23, at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center.

She was born in Smyrna Mills on Oct. 15, 1921, the daughter of Robert and Mabel Stone Graves. She graduated from Buckfield High School in 1939 and married Burton Haines of Rumford in 1942. He passed away in 1990.

She worked at Paris Manufacturing Co., for several years, then took a course in dental assisting and worked for Dr. Allan Chase in Norway for 20 years.

She was a member of the South Paris Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir for many years.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Maynard Harlow, of Norway; a granddaughter, Kelly L’Heureux and her husband, Don, of Falmouth; a grandson, Kevin Harlow, of Yarmouth; a great-granddaughter, Jessie M. L’Heureux, of Falmouth; a brother, Donald Graves, of South Paris; three nieces; and two nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
