LEWISTON – Cecile Marie Michaud St.Clair, 85, formerly of Rideout Street in Lewiston, died Tuesday evening, May 25, at Montello Manor with her family at her side.

She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 20, 1919, a daughter of George and Eugenie (Jean) Michaud. She was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community.

She worked many years in shoe manufacturing, having first spent 40 years at Shapiro Shoe Co., in Auburn and later worked several years Falcon Shoe, until her retirement.

She was a member of Holy Family Church and among her favorite enjoyments were shopping and animals, especially cats and dogs. She often took in stray cats. She was also very family oriented. She loved special family times together and was especially close to her grandchildren.

She leaves two sons, Edward W. St.Clair of Lewiston, and Normand R. St.Clair and wife, Lucille, of Monmouth; four grandchildren, Daniel St.Clair and wife, Rachael, of Lewiston, Diane Crocket and husband, Daniel, of Lewiston, Michelle St.Clair of New Sharon, and Mark St.Clair and wife, Honesty, of Monmouth; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Albert Michaud, of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
