MECHANIC FALLS – The 24th annual Pottle Hill Road Race deadline for race fee discount and for runners to receive a free T-shirt is June 6. Runners who register before that date receive a $2 entry fee discount and a T-shirt. The fee after June 6 is $12 and T-shirts are $12. Runners can register right up through race day, Saturday, June 25.
A 1-mile Fun Run will begin the June 25 festivities at 8:30 a.m. at the Town Square in Mechanic Falls. It will be followed by the 5-K at 9:00, and the 10-K at 9:15.
The course is hilly, rural and scenic, with water stations along the way. Refreshments will be available for participants after the race.
The annual road race is Pottle Hill’s primary fund-raiser with all proceeds dedicated to programs sponsored by Pottle Hill Inc., programs for persons with disabilities. Pottle Hill is a 501 (c) (3) organization under the IRS Code. Donations are deductible to the extent permissible by law.
