LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met a Murray Hall on May 23 with 40 members present. Prior to the meeting a meal was provided by SeniorsPlus.

Shirley Couture opened the meeting and reported she attended Health Day at SeniorsPlus. It was reported Blanche Newell is at home and a get-well card was sent to her.

It was noted that Fred Legere is in the hospital in Farmington and he was sent a card.

Beginning in September when there is no meal before the meeting, members will use the weekly dues to purchase cookies to have while playing cards after the meeting.

Couture reminded members that the new season begins on the Monday after Labor Day when there will be a casserole meal.

Irene Hebert and her daughter, Cindy, spoke about the Friends Social Club and its activities. Cindy makes a computerized calendar for each month so that the members can see what will be taking place.

Members having birthdays in May included Carmen Moreau, Cliff Sawyer, Gabriel Texeira, Pauline Fournier and Rejeanne Paradis; June, Veronica Blanchard, Laurette Chabot, Irene Hebert, Jean Luciano, Anne Sawyer, Margaret Slovak, Alice DeMoras, Joan Lauzier and Pauline Coombs; July, Fred Legere, Sybil Bailey, Lucille Frenchette, Clemence Moreau, Aurelien Couture, Eugene Roy and Ernest Bickford; August, Patty Couture, Alice Duguay, Eleanor Mitchell, Joe Slovak and Gloria Trembley.
