SKOWHEGAN – Alcide Ernest LePage, 83, of Skowhegan, passed on May 28, in his home, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born May 3, 1922, at Three Rivers, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Marcel and Bernadette (Lavoie) LePage. He was a decorated veteran, serving in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II.
He offered over 35 years of dedicated service to the Coburn Park Commission in Skowhegan and also was well known as a carpenter and craftsman.
He was an active member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Skowhegan.
He is survived by daughter, Jolene Springfield and her husband, Jeffery of Marlborough, Mass.; son, Alan LePage and his wife, Lauri of Skowhegan and their children, Kristopher and his wife, Erin of Skowhegan, Elizabeth and Bo Clark of Clinton and Kathryn of Skowhegan; son, Brian LePage of Lewiston and his children, Kristen, Cassandra, Devon and Mike; and two sisters, Theressa Kitteridge of Madison and Leona Burba of Massachusetts.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lucille (Huckins) LePage, in 1994.
