The Lewiston Maineiacs will again begin a season as the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s road warriors.

Since the team’s work visas will not renew until Oct. 1, the first part of the team’s schedule will again be on the road starting in late September, according to a league-wide schedule released on Tuesday.

Lewiston will begin its third season on the road in St. John’s, Newfoundland, with three games against the expansion Fog Devils, beginning on Friday, Sept. 23.

From there, the Maineiacs will travel to expansion Saint John, New Brunswick, on Moncton and Prince Edward Island.

The Maineiacs’ first three home dates will follow on Friday, Oct. 7 against Moncton, Sunday, Oct. 9 against Shawinigan and Tuesday, Oct. 11 against Halifax.

The team’s second three-games-in-three-nights trip follows with a pair of games at Acadie-Bathurst on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14 and 15, followed by a game in Moncton on Oct. 16.
