JAY – Police are looking for a man seen breaking into car on a security camera videotape at the Wausau paper mill during the third shift Thursday night, Jay police officer Russell Adams said Friday.
Christopher Hubbell, of Jay, discovered his 1993 two-door Pontiac sedan burglarized and his $750 stereo system missing when he left work at the mill at around 6:20 a.m. Friday. The burglar broke the driver’s side window to gain entry though he is seen trying to break into the trunk of the car on video. The man also took about 10 CDs, Adams said.
Police are looking for the man, who was seen driving an older maroon, two-door Oldsmobile Cutlass. It’s also very dirty and has a loud exhaust, the officer said.
The last time Jay police placed a security photo of a suspect in the newspaper, a habitual shoplifter was apprehended within 24 hours, Police Chief Larry White said Friday.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Jay Police at 897-6766.
