GREENE – Gloria G. Lacasse, 85, of Daggett Hill Road died Tuesday, June 7, at home after a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston, May 26, 1920, the daughter of Joseph and Virginie (Bourque) Allen. She was educated in local schools.

Prior to her retirement 25 years ago, she worked for many years at Twin City Printing.

She was the wife of Louie Lacasse, who died March 13, 1974.

She was very proud that she was self-taught in the English language in her 50s. She loved embroidery, crocheting and search word puzzles. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality.

She is survived by one son, Paul and his wife, Lisa Lacasse, of Perris, Calif.; one daughter, Irene and her husband, George Wright Jr., of Greene; one brother, Raymond and his wife, Louise Allen, of Lewiston; five sisters, Doris Turgeon of Chicopee Mass., Mrs. Gilbert (Irene) Lozier of Rutland Vt., Mrs. Theresa Allen of Lewiston, Mrs. Simonne Deschaine of Lewiston and Mrs. Richard (Lorraine) Perron of Lisbon; nine grandchildren, Heidi, Michael, Erica, Nichole, Derek, Krista, Paul C., Paul R. and Brittany; and three great-grandchildren, Madison, Jakob and Autumn.

She was predeceased by one brother and by four sisters.
