BRIDGTON – Frank V. Perkins, 87, of Main Street, Lovell, died unexpectedly June 7, at the Bridgton Hospital.

He was born in Mexico, the son of Claude and Eleanor (Stevens) Perkins. He grew up and was educated in Auburn.

He was a World War II Army veteran and received a Purple Heart. He was caretaker for several camps and cottages on Kezar Lake in Lovell. He was a charter member and life member of the Fryeburg-Lovell VFW, also a life member of the Lovell Fire Department.

He enjoyed hunting and camping, but most of all, to put up a woodpile.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Juanita (Wilkinson) Perkins, of Lovell; two sons, Eric and his wife, Teri Perkins, of Lovell and Chad and his wife, Tonya, Perkins of Augusta; one sister, Charlotte Smith of Lovell; one grandson; and four step-grandchildren.
