My Democratic friends should be rejoicing, standing and applauding their newfound power. Not only do they control the legislative and executive branches of this socialist federation called the state of Maine, but they now have another party to represent them. It is called the “centrist” party of Maine, and its leaders are, of course, Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. They allow the Democrats to control the U.S. Senate, so they should be exalting.
I commend the Democrats’ ability to govern, not only from the majority, but also from the minority.
As a Republican, I wish my own party could do the same.
