BETHEL – Toe Tappin’ Jazz Dance Studio will present “The Wizard in Ozland” at 6:30 p.m. June 23 and June 24 in the Helen C. Berry Auditorium at Telstar High School.

Directed by Amanda Bess Jordan, the show is about a Kansas farm girl and her little dog Toto (Kimberly Drew) who are whisked by a tornado into a magical dreamland.

During Dorothy’s (Cassie Yasko) journey in this new place, she meets new friends, like Glinda the Good Witch (Amber Brooks), munchkins (Kinder dancers and tumblers), Scarecrow (Kristi Skalski), Tin Man (Katie Dingley), the Cowardly Lion (Kim Lauro) and Oz (Josh Oliver).

She also faces obstacles as the Wicked Witch (Tiffany Jordan) and her flying monkeys (young acrobats) try to capture her. When Dorothy leaves Ozland, she realizes that what she’d always dreamed of was in her own backyard, her friends and family.

The dance studio, under proprietor Maryanne Jordan, offers instruction in many dance forms. For more information about the show and the studio, people can call 824-6522.

Tickets at the door will be $8 for adults and $6 for students.
