Dear Sun Spots: This is in response to an inquiry made in a recent Sun Spots column: The Lewiston High School Class of 1985 reunion committee is planning a 20th reunion to be held at the Martindale Country Club on Saturday, Oct. 29. The festivities will begin at 7 p.m., with hors d’oeuvres followed by an evening of entertainment. Invitations will be sent to classmates in late August/early September. Dear Sun Spots: To No Name, No Town, featured in the May 31 column: I did not come up with Woonsockets, but did come up with honey dipped (from the Maine Rebekah’s Cookbook 1975).

Ingredients: 3 eggs, beaten, 1 cup milk, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup hot water, 2 packages dry yeast, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ cup Crisco, 6 cups bread flour. Method: Mix all ingredients well and cover. Let rise until doubled in bulk. Roll out on a floured board to about ½ inch thick. Cut out and let rise again until doubled in thickness. Fry in deep fat, not too hot. Cool on wire rack on brown paper. Make a frosting thin enough to dip doughnuts by mixing the following: 1 pound confectioners’ sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, warm water to make a thin icing. Dip and drain on rack. Makes about 40 doughnuts.

Dear Sun Spots: You have helped me many times, and I thank you.

I have seen notices in the paper and Sun Spots column for different class reunions. However, I’ve not seen any for Edward Little High School Class of 1970. I was wondering if they are going to have one?

Also, could you please tell me if the PAX channel is going to bring back Doc? – Joanne Berube, Lewiston.

Answer: In addition to responses from readers, regarding your first question: Carlene Magno, one of the previous organizers, contacted Sun Spots to advise nothing was being done for a reunion this year. It appears there has been no contact made by the committee, and it appears there may not be any interest by classmates.

Regarding your second question, according to the PAX Web site, this show is currently running. According to the programming schedule, it will air at 8 p.m. June 12, 15, 19. A last check of the site also revealed a June 8 airing of the show in which Clint had to make an Internet entrepreneur see that his workaholic ways were making him sick. Nate and his old police academy buddy were thrilled to be partnered together, until they come under suspicion after a drug bust. A “feng shui” consultant was hired to create harmony in the clinic, but ended up creating havoc instead.

Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for a recipe for scalloped scallops. Please help. – No Name, No Town.
