It was a pleasure to read the delightful article written by guest columnist Sarah Andersen (June 6). How fortunate that those Pettingill School fourth-graders are being exposed to the world of good music while also learning the advantages of gentleness and good manners.
In this day, when most of what we hear relates to some form of violence, it is refreshing to read about such positive learning experiences.
I offer thanks to those who organized the program, and also to teachers and parents, who are supporting it.
Appreciating beautiful music will give those students pleasure for the rest of their lives.
