RANGELEY – On Tuesday, 316 voters turned out to elect two new members to the Board of Selectmen in the town election.
Dennis Marquis and Robert Welch both beat incumbents Mark Beauregard and Donald Nuttall, garnering 142 and 170 votes, respectively.
Conversely, both of the incumbents were re-elected to positions on the school board. Pam Ellis received 214 votes, and Harold Schaetzle received 176.
Also elected were one sewer commissioner and one park commissioner. According to a person at the town clerk’s office, both winners were write-ins and their names are being held until they can be contacted with results of the election.
