LIVERMORE FALLS – Voters elected two new selectmen Tuesday as two incumbent selectmen lost their bids for re-election. In Livermore, all five incumbent school and municipal officials who were running uncontested were re-elected.
Michael Collins was the winner for a two-year selectman’s term receiving 121 votes to incumbent Selectman Bernal Lake’s 100 votes and Michael Letalien’s 37.
Newcomer Julie Deschesne took the three-year term receiving 144 votes to incumbent selectman Joyce Drake’s 116 votes.
Two nonbinding votes, dispatch services and switching counties, were still being counted late Tuesday.
Three SAD 36 Board of Directors candidates were elected to three-year terms, incumbent director Denise Rodzen received 185 votes, Heidi Rodzen received 143 votes and Amie Smith received 182 votes. Heidi Rodzen is Denise Rodzen’s daughter-in-law.
Over in Livermore, incumbent Selectpersons John Wakefield received 104 votes and Wayne Timberlake received 96 votes. SAD 36 incumbent directors Rod Newman and Ashley O’Brien received 80 and 101 votes, respectively.
