AUBURN – The third annual Lewiston Elks Richard Gibson Scholarship Scramble is scheduled for July 17 at Fox Ridge Golf Club at 550 Penley Corner Rd. Proceeds from the tourney will be used for scholarships for area high school students in memory of the late Dick Gibson. A total of $12,500 will be awarded to local students who are accepted into college for the ensuing year. Applicants must have need, scholastic ability, athletic prowess, extra curricular activities, community service and high school recommendations.

It’ll be a 4-player scramble format. Entry fee is $240 per foursome. There will also be assorted contests, including long drive, hole-in-one, putting and closest to the pin. Members of the Lewiston Maineiacs hockey team will be guests at the tourney.
