LEWISTON – Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday morning on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge.

State crews will close one lane at a time between Lewiston and Auburn, removing and replacing the asphalt surface between Main Street and the Androscoggin River.

The project is expected to continue through August.
