NORTH FRYEBURG – Brian Justin “B.J.” Day, 18, of North Fryeburg, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Friday, June 24.

Brian was born in Bridgton, on July 5, 1986, and when his Dad heard “It’s a boy” all he could say was “Alright!”

B.J., as he was known to his family and friends, constantly amazed us from the wild fanciful stories he would delight family with to the way his mind would instantly grasp a thought in the most unusual way.

At age 5, he announced one morning “You know I thought about it and you know I can read,” and he could! Brian didn’t say something unless he had time to think about it and when he did, you would want to hear it because it would always be something with that special B.J. take on the situation.

Brian graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 2004 he was part of the alpine ski team. He received an award for being the most dedicated skier for 2003-2004. He also played saxophone in the school band and was in the musicals at Fryeburg Academy.

Brian was and always will be dearly loved by his Mom and Dad who can’t imagine life without him. He was still trying at 6’3″ to grow into his big puppy-dog size 14 feet. The world lost more than it will ever know as his future had not even begun.

Brian has a huge family that can’t begin to comprehend life without him. Brian has left behind his parents, James and Anita Day; his sister, Jenna Day; half-brother, James Day; and half-sister Lesa Day. His two nephews, Walker and Hunter who treated him like a big jungle gym to climb on and wrestle and with whom he showed unlimited patience. Brian also left behind his grandmother, Blanche, his aunts and uncles galore; and his best friend, Chris Wilfong, who had been his friend since age 3.
