CANTON – Regina M. Richard, 100, of Wilton, died early Saturday afternoon, June 25, at Victorian Villa Nursing Home in Canton where she had been a resident for several years.

She was born in Rogersville, New Brunswick, Canada, July 17, 1904, a daughter of Augustine and Marie (Richard) Richard.

On Aug. 11, 1929, she married Alban Richard in Rumford. He died May 13, 1972.

She enjoyed her family and was a devoted mother and homemaker. She will be remembered as being a good cook and housekeeper.

She was a former communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wilton.

She is survived by two sons, Robert and his wife, Kathy Richard, of Wilton, and Henry Richard of Moody Beach; three daughters, Evelyn Dominic of Milford, Conn., Lillian Grendale of Portland, Ore., and Dorothy Richard of Wilton; a brother, Ernest Richard and his wife, Anna, of New Brunswick; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband; a son, Joseph Roland Richard in 1971; and several brothers and sisters.
