LEWISTON – Jeff Beaule, project engineer in Lewiston’s Engineering Division of the Department of Public Services, has become licensed as a state of Maine professional engineer.

To obtain his state license, Beaule first had to graduate from an accredited engineering school, which he did in 1999 from the University of Maine Orono. He then completed an eight-hour exam to qualify as an “engineer in training.”

Beaule was then required to work four years of practical experience under the direction of an state-licensed engineer and, finally, he had to complete an additional eight-hour state exam.

Hired in May 1999, Beaule is involved in the design and construction of numerous projects within the city of Lewiston including the Ferry Road water storage tanks, Gulley Brook combined sewer separation projects, downtown storm-water storage project, and numerous water line installation and replacement projects including Pleasant Street, Ferry Road/Commercial Street and Scribner Boulevard.

Farrington named office manager

FARMINGTON – Celeste Farrington has been promoted to the position of office manager at Pine Tree Family Practice, according to Leslie Hawkins, Pine Tree administrator.

In her new position, Farrington will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the medical practice including staffing, budgeting, staff supervision and practice evaluation.

Farrington, who previously served as clerical supervisor, has been employed by Pine Tree Family Practice since its inception in 1993.

Farrington received her associate’s degree in secretarial science from Husson College.

Through the years, she has been employed at private physician practices in the area, as well as at Franklin Memorial Hospital in the Transcription Department.

She and her husband, Dean, reside in Jay and are the parents of three children: Noah, 21; Samual, 17; and Lauren, 16.
