DIXFIELD – The descendants of Agape and Florence Arsenault are holding the 10th annual Arsenault family reunion on Saturday, July 9, at the Mountain View Campground.

Lots of activities are being planned for family members to enjoy.

GREAT POND – The 70th reunion for the descendants of Joshua Williams, who lived at Great Pond, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the church in Great Pond. If it rains, it will be held at the town hall next to the church. The committee will report on the status of the church building at Great Pond.

Guests should bring chairs, lunch, a small gift for the auction and pictures of early settlers.

Adams reunion

WILTON – The 127th reunion of the descendants of Moses and Martha Kinney Adams will be held in the reunion building at Kineowatha Park on Saturday, July 16.

Those attending should bring a dish for the potluck meal at noon and items for the silent auction.

Beacon race full

CAPE ELIZABETH – Registration for this year’s Peoples Beach to Beacon 10K Road Race officially closed on May 11, four weeks ahead of last year’s record as the earliest the international race has filled.

The field of 5,000 is now complete for the eighth annual event, set for Saturday, Aug. 6. More than 4,300 runners registered online, another all-time high.

Those who missed out may still have an opportunity to participate.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Portland and Auburn/Lewiston, the 2005 race beneficiary, has a small supply of paid places in the race for anyone willing to do some fund-raising in exchange for a free registration.

The race begins at Crescent Beach along Route 77 and ends 6.2 miles later in Fort Williams at Portland Head.
