NORWAY – Diane M. Lescault, 47, of Market Square died Tuesday, June 28, at Stephens Memorial Hospital after a long illness with family and friends by her side.

She was born in Pawtucket, R.I., on May 2, 1958, the daughter of the late Frank and Claire Palin Cinq-mars Carr and Earl Carr. She graduated from Attle High School in the top 10 of her class.

She was a wonderful writer of poetry, loved to play guitar in her day, and was an inspiration to all who visited and cared for her just by her smile and wit. Her faith in God helped her accept her illness, and He carried her through these long years. Daily attention was given to her by her best friend, Ellie Mains, and all the wonderful caregivers at the nursing home made her days there as pleasant as possible.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Sr., of Industry; her son, Mark Jr., of West Paris; a brother, Thomas Carr of Arizona; cousins, Mrs. Ronald (Janice) Baker, and Mrs. Ronald (Maureen) Thompson; several more aunts, uncles and cousins; and her personal friend, Ellie Mains.
