WOODSTOCK – Maine State Police are investigating a report of a man being run over by a truck on a private road here early Friday morning.

Trooper Dan Hanson said police received a call about 12:45 a.m. from a nearby resident.

“A male subject had supposedly been run over by a truck,” he said. “The operator of the vehicle was nowhere, and the victim was uncooperative.”

He declined to give the name of the victim, who was drunk, he said.

The victim was taken by Tri-Town Rescue to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, treated and released, the trooper said.
