BOSTON (AP) – The Boston Celtics signed first-round draft pick Gerald Green on Sunday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Celtics took Green with the 18th overall selection in last week’s NBA draft. The 19-year-old is expected to play for Boston next week in the Reebok Vegas Summer League.

The 6-foot-8 forward entered the draft out of high school. He averaged 33 points and 12 rebounds during his senior year at Gulf Shores Academy in Houston.

Green was named the Most Valuable Player of the Reebok A-B-C-D All-Star camp last summer. He also led all scorers with 24 points in the most recent McDonald’s High School All America game.
