Farmers’ Market
LEWISTON – The Lewiston Farmers’ Market will open for a second season on Monday, July 11, in Kennedy Park. Hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m.
The opening celebration will include face-painting and games for kids. Lots to Gardens will have free flowers for people to pot and take home for their porches or windows.
The Farmers Market will be in Kennedy Park every Monday from 3 to 6 p.m. throughout the summer and fall. Food stamp cards and WIC will be accepted. Anyone wanting more information should contact Lots to Gardens at 753-6944.
Church speaker
LEWISTON – The St. Joseph’s Church Peace and Social Justice Commission will sponsor a presentation by Nicole Poirier of Catholic Relief Services at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, in the church hall.
Poirier, an Auburn native who is home for a brief visit, will speak on her experiences and the activities of the group in Chad, Africa. All are welcome.

TOPSHAM – Regent Sheila Desgrosseilliers announces the July luncheon for Burnt Meadow Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will be held on Saturday, July 16. Cloutier reunion
LEWISTON – A committee was recently formed to assemble all Cloutier families and their descendants from this area and parts of Canada.
The event is scheduled to be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 150 East Ave., at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. Lunch and entertainment is being planned.

Bridge results
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club did not meet on July 5 as the Multi-Purpose Center was closed for the week. There will be a game at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, at the center. A partner is guaranteed.
The club met on July 6 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: first, Roger Briggs and Lucille Theriault; second, Misha Tomic and Leslie Buzzell; tied at third, Richard Allen and Martha Young with Anna Vitiello and Ann Johnson.
