I have been thinking about the four freedoms, portrayed so eloquently by Norman Rockwell: “Freedom of Speech,” “Freedom to Worship,” “Freedom from Want” and “Freedom from Fear.”

More and more, I am seeing the Christian coalition instilling its religion into our government. I am not seeing the government, President Bush or Congress paying a lot of attention to the four freedoms for all citizens.

I believe that freedom is the distance between church and state.
