LEWISTON – Jeannette H. Violette, 72, of Auburn, died Thursday evening, July 7, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

She was born in Lewiston on May 14, 1933, the daughter of Romeo and Rose (Ouellette) Dionne, and had been a resident of this community all her life.

She worked in the shoe industry for many years and Tambrands for 10 years, and later was the top salesperson in the country for Fensmore Magic Plants Company, and also an Avon representative.

She was a member of St. Philip’s Parish. She loved the outdoors, especially gardening.

She is survived by her former husband, Frank Violette, of Sumner; one daughter, Connie Adams and her husband, Don, of Canton; two sons, Doug Violette and his wife, Connie, of Sumner, and Brian Violette of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Dorothy and Gabrielle Violette, both of Auburn; seven grandchildren, Lisa Staples of Lewiston, Jeremy and Lisa Storer of Auburn, Albert and Martha Storer of California, Shawn and Jessica Violette of New Hampshire, Travis and Becky Adams of Canton, and Courtney and Rhiannon Violette of Washington.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Muriel Caron and Alice Veilleux.
