A greenside bunker is a shot not to be feared and is one of the easier shots in golf (You hit the sand not the ball).

If you happen to enter a greenside bunker, stay confident and establish firm footing by working your feet into the sand. The ball position should be slightly ahead of center. Take a slightly open stance, and open your club face.

Start with the weight favoring your left side (for right handed players). Now take your swing and strike the sand 2-3 inches behind the ball. Be sure to accelerate the club through the sand to a normal finish. The amount of sand you take will determine how far the ball will fly.
