AUBURN – Faye M. Belanger, 67, of Auburn, died Friday, July 8, at Clover Manor in Auburn.

She was was born on Oct. 7, 1937, in Jay, the daughter of Florence Judd Bernard and Everett Bernard. She attended Lewiston schools and worked as a stitcher at Fancy Stitchers and Supreme Slipper.

She was a volunteer in a foster grandparent program, and a member of the Senior Citizens and the 55 program.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchild were the love of her life.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, and playing bingo and cards with her senior friends. She loved to dance and loved life.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Norman (Debora) Guay of Auburn; a son, Michael Belanger of Windham; grandsons Michael “Champ” Belanger of Savannah, Ga., and Christopher Belanger of Auburn; and a great-granddaughter, Destiny F. Belanger of Augusta; three brothers, Julian Bernard of Auburn, Everett Bernard of Lewiston and Steven Bernard of Poland; three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Theresa) Soucy of Cape Cod, Doloris Asselin of Auburn and Mrs. Guy (Pat) Mathieu of Frenchville; and many nieces and nephews.

She always expressed great love for her special friend, Judith Spencer, who along with Debora was always there for her during her many cancer treatments over the last five years.

She would like to thank Dr. Nicholette Erickson and her staff as well as Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for the excellent care she received during her illness.
