The District 5 Babe Ruth Baseball tournaments are upcoming.
The 13-15-year-old tourney, and the 13-year-old tourney will be held this weekend at Augusta. The 14-year-old tournament is set for July 22-24 at Memorial Field in Skowhegan.
Following are the tourney schedules:
13-15 (all games at McGuire Field): Friday, July 15, Game 1, 2:30 p.m., Apple Valley vs Augusta; Game 2, 5:00, Central Maine vs Somerset. Saturday, July 16: Game 3, 9 a.m., Game 1 Loser vs Game 2 Loser; Game 4, 11:30, Game 1 Winner vs Game 2 Winner; Game 5, 2:00, Game 3 Winner vs Game 4 Loser. Sunday, July 17: Game 6, 12:00, Game 5 Winner vs Game 4 Winner; Game 7 (if necessary), 2:30, Game 6 Loser vs Game 6 Winner. District 5 champ will advance to the State Tournament in Augusta, July 21-25.
13-Year-Olds: Friday, July 15: Game 1, 5 p.m., Augusta vs Central Maine, Morton Field. Saturday, July 16: Game 2, 10 a.m., Apple Valley vs Winner 1, Morton Field; Game 3, 12:15, Game 1 Loser vs Game 2 Loser, Morton Field. Sunday, July 17: Game 4, 12:00, Game 3 Winner vs Game 2 Winner, Morton Field. Monday, July 18 (if necesssary): Game 5, 5 p.m., Game 4 Loser vs Game 5 Winner, McGuire Field. District champ will advance to the State Tournament at Boothbay, July 27 to August 1.
14-Year-Olds: Friday, July 22: Game 1, 2:30 p.m., Apple Valley vs Augusta; Game 2, 5 p.m., Somerset vs Central Maine. Saturday, July 23: Game 3, 10 a.m., Game 1 Loser vs Game 2 Loser; Game 4, 12:00, Game 1 Winner vs Game 2 Winner; Game 5, 2:00, Game 3 Winner vs Game 4 Loser. Sunday, July 24: Game 6, 12:00, Game 5 Winner vs Game 4 Winner; Game 7 (if necessary), 2:30, Game 6 Loser vs Game 6 Winner. District 5 champ will advance to the State Tournament at Westbrook, July 28 to August 1.
Following is the schedule for the 13-15 State Tournament to be held July 21-25 at Augusta, with all games at McGuire Field unless otherwise indicated: Thursday, July 21: Game 1, 4 p.m., District 1 vs Host (Augusta); Game 2, 5:00, District 5 vs 2 (Morton Field). Friday, July 22: Game 3, 12:00, Game 1 Winner vs District 3 (Morton); Game 4, 12:30, Game 2 Winner vs District 4. Saturday, July 23: Game 5, 9 a.m., Game 4 Loser vs Game 1 Loser; Game 6, 12:00, Game 3 Loser vs Game 2 Loser; Game 7, 3:00, Game 4 Winner vs Game 3 Winner. Sunday, July 24: Game 8, 12:00, Game 6 Winner vs Game 5 Winner; Game 9, 3:00, Game 7 Loser vs Game 8 winner. Monday, July 25: Game 10, 1:00, Game 7 Winner vs Game 9 winner; Game 11 (if necessary), 30 minutes after last game.
