LIVERMORE – The Washburn-Norland Living History Center announces its summer family program. On Wednesdays, July 13 and Aug. 10, at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Norlands staff will offer the public an opportunity to experience 19th century academic lessons with the “One-Room Schoolhouse” program.

Bible video show

NEW VINEYARD – Mountain View Bible Church will show a video, “Left Behind,” based upon the 13-book series co-authored by Jerry Jenkins and Tim Lahaye, on at the 6 p.m. service Sunday, July 17 at the church. The series is written based upon Bible prophecy of what will happen in the last days.

Science program

RANGELEY – The Wilhelm Reich Museum will present a free natural science program from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at the Orgonon outdoor classroom, Dodge Pond Road. The program, “Lichen Exploration,” will be given by nature enthusiast Christine Blaze.

Rain or shine, be prepared for some hiking with appropriate clothing, comfortable shoes, bug spray and a bottle of water. For more information, directions or a list of upcoming events, contact the museum at 864-3443.

Summer reading

WILTON – A summer reading, “Around the World in 43 Days,” will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the Wilton library. Bring a lunch and listen to Police Chief Wayne Gallant read a picture book about Asia.

The reading program will also be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, at the library. It is for all ages. Those attending are invited to represent a country and participate in Olympic games.

Frontier stories

LIVERMORE – The Washburn-Norland Living History Center, at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 and Aug. 17, will share “Livermore Frontier Stories,” 19th century crafts and a game program.

Coloring contest

FARMINGTON – The annual Moonlight Madness Coloring Contest is under way. Entry sheets are available at Farmington Thrift Store, Broadway. There will be cash prizes awarded in three age groups. Entries will be displayed and judged at the Thrift Store on July 29, Moonlight Madness day, in downtown Farmington. The contest is sponsored by the Farmington Downtown Business and Professionals Association.
