BETHEL – A Lisbon woman, who was critically injured July 8 when her car was broadsided by a loaded pulp truck in Bethel, remains hospitalized in Lewiston.
A Central Maine Medical Center spokeswoman said early Friday afternoon that Beverly Fecteau, 73, continues to be listed in critical condition.
Fecteau suffered a serious head injury when her 1998 Toyota Corolla was struck by a 1996 Kenworth pulp truck in the intersection of Route 2 and Parkway.
Initial indications are that Fecteau drove out of the Rite-Aid parking lot and headed across Route 2 into the path of the pulp truck, which was operated by George Kenney, 57, of George Kenney Trucking of Colebrook, N.H., according to investigating state Trooper Daniel Hanson.
Kenney was not injured.
Hanson could not be reached for further information Friday, and it was not known if his investigation is finished.
