CHICAGO (AP) – Justin Mapp scored on a free kick in the 62nd minute, lifting the Chicago Fire to a 1-1 tie with the Columbus Crew on Saturday.

Columbus (4-10-3) took a 1-0 lead in 54-minute mark when Eric Vasquez blasted a long ball into the upper left corner past Fire goalkeeper Zach Thornton, who was standing in the middle of the box.

Will Johnson made his MLS debut for the Fire (11-6-3), while Will John made his first start.
