FOXBORO, Mass. – Taylor Twellman scored two of his three goals in the final two minutes and the New England Revolution beat FC Dallas 3-2 on Saturday night.

Twellman scored in the 90th minute to tie the match at 2-2 when he converted a rebound off a header by Clint Dempsey.

He scored the winner in the first minute of stoppage time when he one-timed a right-footed shot off a cross by Shalrie Joseph.

FC Dallas (10-3-4), the Western Conference leaders, took the lead in the seventh minute when Arturo Alvarez scored.

The Revolution (10-2-5) tied it in the 44th minute when Twellman scored on a header off a cross from Patrick Noonan.

Crew 1, Fire 1

CHICAGO – Justin Mapp scored on a free kick in the 62nd minute, lifting the Chicago Fire to a 1-1 tie with the Columbus Crew on Saturday.

Columbus (4-10-3) took a 1-0 lead in 54-minute mark when Eric Vasquez blasted a long ball into the upper left corner past Fire goalkeeper Zach Thornton, who was standing in the middle of the box.

MetroStars 1, Rapids 1

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Jeff Cunningham scored his league-leading ninth goal in the 60th minute to give the Colorado Rapids a 1-1 tie with the MetroStars on Saturday night.

After an uneventful and sluggish first half, which produced few scoring opportunities, the MetroStars took the lead in the 51st minute when Ante Razov took a pass from Amado Guevara and beat goalkeeper Joe Cannon from 30 yards out.

Cannon got his hands on the shot, but he could not corral it and the ball trickled in for Razov’s sixth goal of the season and his fifth in five games with the MetroStars. But nine minutes later, Cunningham beat MetroStars goalie Zach Wells for the game-tying goal.

After the score, Cunningham took off his jersey and ran to the corner flag in celebration, putting the jersey on the flag and waving it aloft. His antics drew him a yellow card for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Wells made one save for the MetroStars (6-4-7), while Cannon stopped seven shots for the Rapids (5-10-3).
