Pajama Day

MEXICO – Children attending story hours at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Mexico Public Library will celebrate “Pajama Day” on Tuesday, July 26. All kids attending story hour that day are invited to wear pajamas.

There will be stories read, games played, snacks eaten, crafts made, all following a “Pajama Day” theme. A prize will be awarded at each story hour for the “pajamas of the day.”

Museum open

RUMFORD – The Rumford Historical Society’s Lufkin School Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 23. One of the exhibits is a photo that hung on the wall of the Kimball School in Rumford Point for 70 years.

It was preserved for the museum because one former pupil of the Kimball School asked to have it saved. Ronald Easter mentioned it to Stuart Martin, who recognized its value. It is well lighted by the track lights that have been added.

Bridge play
