BUCKFIELD – Shayna Shackford, who attends Buckfield High School, has received Russell Sage College’s distinguished designation as a “Student Sage” scholar.

Scholars are nominated by their high school guidance counselors and must exemplify Russell Sage College’s motto, “To Be, To Know, To Do.” Award winners are invited to visit the college in the fall for a special “Student Sage Day” recognizing these young women of excellence.

Russell Sage is a comprehensive college for women in Troy, N.Y., offering liberal arts and professional degree programs in an environment aimed at empowering students to become women of influence in their careers and their communities.
