AUBURN – Funeral services for Walter Sargent, who died July 16, were held Wednesday afternoon from the United Methodist Church, Auburn, with the Rev. Russell Peppe officiating and reciting committal prayers at the interment in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

During the service, Mr. Sargent’s violin teacher, Greg Boardman, played a violin solo in Walter’s honor.

Words of remembrance were expressed by Ron Guay and Ron’s wife, Laurie Guay, granddaughter of Walter. Mr. Sargent’s great-granddaughter, Heather Guay, was soloist during a video tribute of Walter’s life.

A reception of fellowship followed the service at the United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers were Thomas Sargent, Rick Varney, Chris Varney, Michael Caron, Josh Robichaud and Rick Robichaud.

Arrangements by the family-owned Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel & Tribute Center, 62 Spring St., Auburn.
