AUBURN – Brianna Barlow went 2-for-2 with three runs scored as Auburn Suburban defeated South Lewiston 15-5 in the nine and 10-year olds softball All-Star game on July 18. Kory Norcorss chipped in for ASLL with one hit. Ashley Arnold struck out seven while notching the mound win.
Michelem Malia led South Lewiston with two runs scored, while Kaitlyn Lavallee suffered the loss. Auburn now advances to the state tournament starting on July 29 in Old Town.
AK Softball League
Team standings as of July 21 – Ages 12 and up: 1. Sabattus Red; 2. Leeds; 3. Turner Patriots; 4. Greene Eagles; 5. Sabattus Blues; 6. Greene Gators; 7. Hartford. Reminder: AK 12 plus softball tournament will be held at Tripp Middle School and Administration Softball Field. First run is set to begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp. Please come and support our girls program.
