Scrabble Club

AUBURN — The Scrabble Club will meet at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at the Great Falls School. Newcomers are always welcome.

Members have been challenged to learn the game’s 96 two-letter words. The member who brings the longest list to the meeting will win a copy of the booklet “How to Win at Scrabble.” Call 344-0026 for information.

Fund-raiser

GRAY – The Gray-New Gloucester Patriot Football Program has begun its Ink Cartridge (inkjet or laser)/Cell Phone Recycling Fund-raiser and is collecting them.

Anyone interested in recycling can visit the Web site at GNGFootball.org or call or e-mail Tammy at 831-4182 or [email protected] for a list of eligible cartridges and cell phones, or to arrange pick-up.

Contours Express, located in Gray Plaza, and the New Gloucester News, located downstairs at the New Gloucester Library, have drop-boxes at their facilities.

Rotary speaker

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will learn more about Primerica Financial Services from Regional Vice President Ron Powell at noon Thursday, July 28, at the Ramada Inn on Pleasant Street. Anyone wishing to attend to hear the speaker or to learn more about Rotary is welcome to attend. Weekly buffet luncheons are $8 a person.
