POLAND SPRING – The OMNI Music Series will present up-and-coming singer/songwriter rocker Kevin Roper and friends at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23.

Also performing will be Kreg Viesselman and Curt Stager. The concert will be held outside at the new Cliffside Lodge at OMNI Camp, 135 Verrill Road.

Roper plays guitar, piano and organ. Since graduating from college in 1999, he has played in a variety of bands in a variety of places around the United States.

The OMNI Music Series was established this year by Gar Roper, director of OMNI Camp and the OMNI Learning Institute. It brings together folk veterans and some of the region’s best newcomers.

Proceeds from the shows go toward the Learning Institute’s Maine Teachers First Initiative, which brings Maine teachers to working retreats where they learn and share new teaching techniques and activities.
