Farmington – Crystal Poulin, a coding practitioner at Pine Tree Family Practice, recently earned the designation of certified coding specialist, physician-based, from the American Health Information Management Association.

Poulin successfully passed an exam on medical diagnosis and procedure-coding skills for physician-based settings. The exam covered topics such as evaluation and management coding, proper billing procedures for Medicare and private insurance companies, medical terminology and claims appeals.

Poulin lives in Farmington and has been employed by Pine Tree Family Practice for 13 years.
