EAST POLAND – The Empire Grove United Methodist Campmeeting Association, formed in 1834, will hold its annual camp meeting on July 30 to Aug. 7. The theme will be “Covenant.” Many activities are planned and the public is welcome.

The two Sunday services will be held at 11 a.m. There will be evening services each night at 7 p.m. preceded by a 6:30 songfest led by Mitchell Thomas. On Aug. 6 there will be a handbell concert at 7 p.m.

The worship leader for the evening services will be the Rev. James McPhee of Reading, Mass. He is the assistant to the resident bishop of the New England Conference of the United Methodist Church.

The adult Bible study will be led by the Rev. Wally Webb; youth ministries, Tracy Knight, Scott Thibeau, Peter and Heather Springer, Carolyn Tanner and Mary Yeaton; music ministries, Norma Rice-Gould, Judie Hurd and Mitchell Thomas.

The adult craft coordinators are Denise and Pat Perry; youth coordinators are Penny Price, Heather Josselyn-Cranson and Mary Yeaton.

Sports and Olympic coordinators are Peter Springer, Thatcher Anderson and Scott Thibeau. Special children’s events will be directed by Debbie Gray.

There will be an indoor yard sale held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, to benefit the campground.

The program directors are the Revs. Wally and Kay Webb. Assistant directors are Peter and Heather Springer.
